Contactless approach to lettings

23 Mar 2020

In these tricky times we’re doing our best to keep the cogs turning and continue to provide a top notch lettings service for landlords and tenants alike. That being said, the government recommends that people should stay at home where possible.

So to help you do just that, we’ve launched some new contactless features to our rental process:

Online video viewings

We’ll no longer be doing viewings in person. Self-isolation plays a key part in keeping this virus under control and that’s exactly what our team has been instructed to do. Instead, we’re capturing online video tours of each property that will be visible on our website. It’ll feel like an actual viewing but you can do it in your PJs in between Netflix series: start your property search.

Apply for a property online

Once you’ve found a property you’re interested in, it’s really simple to fill out an application form online without the need to pop into our office. If you’re ready to get moving then you can start your application today. We’ve had this feature in place for a while because we’ve always wanted to make it as simple as possible for tenants to submit an application - it made sense to us months ago to make this process digital.

Sign paperwork remotely

If you’re accepted for a property then firstly... congratulations! Secondly, you’ll need to sign on the dotted line. Back in the day, you’d have needed to come into our office to sign all the necessary paperwork but we’ve used Adobe Sign for a while now. This means you can digitally sign all the relevant documents from the comfort of your own home. It’s super simple to follow but if you get stuck we’re only a phone call away: 01482 562562.

Collect keys from our external key safe

We’ve just installed a new key safe just outside our office (939 Spring Bank West) where you’ll be able to pick up the keys for your new home once all the boxes have been ticked and your move in date has arrived. Rest assured that this is disinfected every time we put a new key in for collection and we’ll keep you up to date when they’re ready.

Team communication

To protect the safety of our team and customers, everyone is now working from home in their own environments. You can still get in touch via the usual contact methods of email and telephone should you have any issues. Existing tenants can also report a repair through our website or contact the emergency line or Whatsapp for any urgent issues.

A huge thank you to all of our customers who have cooperated with our change in procedures during this difficult time. Let’s hope we’ll be back running as normal in the not too distant future.
