We’ve upgraded our photography skills for 2019

15 Jan 2019

Firstly, we’d like to start our post by wishing all our readers a Happy New Year! This is our first blog post of 2019 and it’s dedicated to our improved photography service.

What changes have we made?

Potential tenants usually make their mind up on a property based on the photography rather than the text describing it which is why we’ve made photography a priority this year.

We’ve invested in a professional camera that has the ability to capture high quality shots and show the properties we manage in the best light.

Not only that, our team have also received photography training from the professionals at Blink Video to make sure we can get the most out of our new equipment.

We’ve learnt how to capture the properties we list at the best angle, consider the lighting and also how to focus on the areas that will appeal most to tenants.

Is there an extra charge for these professional standard shots?

No, the professional standard shots are included as part of a Landlords letting fee. Going forward all properties we list will have this enhanced photography.

What are the benefits of professional standard shots for landlords?

#1 We can show off the finish of your property

The photographs are high resolution which enables viewers to see the quality of the finish in a property. If you’ve had work done to your property like a new kitchen for example, it’s likely this is something you’ll want to show off and our photography will enhance and highlight the spec of this. We also include shots of prominent details or features like victorian fireplaces.

All the properties we manage are let out at our recommended rental standard so there’s nothing to hide when presenting your property to potential tenants.

#2 See more of every room in a single shot

We use a wide lens when taking photos of the properties we manage. That means each shot captures more of the room and allows potential tenants to get a better feel for the property before viewing. We make the most out of the space in your rental property by using this.

Here’s a before and after to show you the difference between a standard camera and our professional photography - look how much more of the room you can see!

#3 Maximise lighting

Photography is all about lighting (the word ‘photography’ comes from the Greek ‘light’). We know what areas of the room to take photographs from and how to utilise natural light to capture a room at it’s best.

Here’s an example of how a professional camera can capture the natural light better:
