A big welcome to Jack Shelley, our new Works Manager

04 Nov 2021

It's an exciting time at Ultralets, as we welcome Jack Shelley into our growing Maintenance Team. Jack joined us at the end of October as our Maintenance Manager and will be supporting our brilliant Maintenance Team as they continue to provide our high-quality in-house maintenance and refurbishment services.

Our new Maintenance Manager, Jack.

Take a look at our Q&A we did with Jack, to learn a bit more about him:

How has your first week been?

Really great! All the team have been so welcoming and its been great to get stuck in straight away with everyone and start learning the ropes.

Tell us a bit about what you will be doing as Maintenance Manager?

My role mainly consists of assigning and coordinating any issues that are reported to us and seeing them through until completion.

This would include, responding to tenants that report issues, arranging for quotes for work to be carried out, and then liaising with our tenants and landlords to schedule one of our team to go out to the property to get the issue resolved.

What's your background?

I have most recently been working in a management role in a customer services team for the past 2 years.

However, prior to this I have also worked as a contractor to repairs for the water industry throughout various water sites around the country and spent some time working abroad with P&O cruises.

What has drawn you a career in Maintenance Management?

Firstly I really enjoy working as a team and love a good challenge.

I have previous experience in management and coordinating works, and previous experience within the reactive maintenance sector. So the job really appealed to me as I knew I had some good skills to bring to the table and incorporate together within my role here at Ultralets.

What do get up to in your spare time?

Training in the gym, enjoying good food and socialising with friends.

A word from our Director, Spencer:

I'm delighted to have Jack on board with us, he has a great attitude towards complicated tasks and brings a wealth of knowledge dealing with customers. I'm confident he will feel right at home here.

Welcome to Ultralets Jack.

If you're thinking about letting your property, why not join an agent with a dedicated in-house maintenance team on hand, 24/7, to respond to any emergency callout?
